Just When You Think Know One Loves You

Yep it was one of those evenings when I was feeling a little stressed from the holidays and very unappeciated. I went into cook dinner and look what God sent me. His love is never ending.

He know are hearts and cares for us! See this he sent me a heart shaped potato to remind me even when it looks like know one else does he sees me and knows how I feel. So anyone out there feeling a little overwhelmed by the holidays or a little unloved remember the greatest love of all Jesus Christ!

And me I love you and I will keep you all in prayer so God will send you a sign too!!

Merry Christmas from Our House to Yours

We wish a Merry Christmas, to all our family and friends back home and far away.

This year Mr. and Mrs. Clause ( aka Ron and Pam)  are tired and not in the mood to write the annual Christmas Gossip sheet so it looks like it will be up to me BJ the family loyal subject (or the dog)

This seems to have been a long year and a half for Mr. & Mrs. Clause with building the new home and trying to finish the new work shop.  Plus Santa had to take on a new job and Mrs. Clause left her job of ten years to move here to help Santa. The first six months of the building of the new house was quiet the adventure.

First Mrs. Clause and I stayed back to sell the old house and work. Santa went ahead and started the new job and came to visit every two weeks on weekends when he could.  Santa’s job started on April fool’s day!! That in itself should tell you something!!! Now some of you are asking why Santa had to take a job but as you know we have a new president taxes have gone up health care cost have sky rocketed especially for Mrs. Clause with her diabetes (To much access to sugar plums and sugar cookies and candy canes you know) So Santa choose to take a job where he was born and raised in the Poteau Mountains of Oklahoma. He’s working for an old Randy Lum. This is where Santa wanted to retire so he could hunt and fish and enjoy the forest and simple life.

Now Mrs. Clause on the other hand was not so sure about the move since her children and grandchildren were still back at the old place. She’s never been so far away from them and doesn’t like not being able to go to ball games school plays and shopping with her girls. Plus Mrs. Clause was still recovering from shoulder surgery and was completing her therapy. 

Well the house finally sold in July to a real nice young couple, Mrs. Clause was glad it sold to them because they would be good neighbors to her friends and Santa’s friends nearby. We had several good elves help us pack up the old place and put it in storage. Which was good, because there was a lot of langue I hadn’t heard before, out of Mrs. Clause while she was packing boxes with her one good arm. Now Santa had to get back to the new job and Mrs. Clause and I were left to find a new home until we could join Santa. Mrs. Clause wasn’t too anxious to make the move away from the grandkids. She enjoyed her job, plus Mrs. Clause had made a lot of good friends and wasn’t excited about leaving them. So the kids drew straws and Shanna & Charlie got the short one and took us in. Mrs. Clause was very nervous about this move because she has a great relationship with her children and wanted it to stay that way. Now I on the other hand was excited, anyone who knows, Shanna and Charlie, know they love their dogs and spoil them. So it was  a dream come true for me. Yep I was living in tall cotton as they say. Treats four and five times a day, Sonic hot dogs on take out night, pizza, left over’s every night.  I gained 15 lbs , the three months we were there. And more after Mrs. Clause left for Poteau.

Well to make a long story short the house was being built and Santa is not great, at interior decorating and Mrs. Clause was a little worried about what he might pick out on his own so October 1^st Mrs. Clause moved to Poteau. Now the house was suppose to be ready the first of December but the elves in the Poteau mountain’s  all take off to go hunting and fishing around October and November. So things were delayed. Mrs. Clause and Mr. Clause were living in a 10 x 10 room in Grandma Lou’s house.   I hear tell it was a little cramped. I at this time was enjoying the lap of luxury and enjoying fine dining.

From what I hear building your dream home is not necessarily a dream! Mrs. Clause was homesick, Santa was worn out with working and making decisions because the elves wouldn’t listen to Mrs. Clause on what she wanted done on the house. Then Mrs. Clause wanted Santa in on the decision making on the inside things Santa went into shut down mode and didn’t want to make any decisions, and so the war began! Mrs. Clause cried Santa Yelled and Grandma Lou made casseroles’. By December Mrs. Clause was ready to move back Santa was going to the woods and I was glad I was where I was. I think the breaking point was when Mr. and Mrs. Clause (necks set in a permanent tilted to the ceiling mode) after looking at lights for three weekends in a row, went down the hill too look at what had been done on the house that week. Mrs. Clauses found her white kitchen cabinets, stained over with black stain, and the mahogany bookshelf’s were now oak. Mrs. Clause cried, Santa yelled and elves backed away! Mrs. Clause was packing her bags, Santa was threatening to use the place as kindling for a weenie roast and Grandma Lou made one too many casseroles’.

The house was finished in February and things have calmed down a little. Santa took Tyler and Bronson hunting in the woods over Thanksgiving, I have run off some of that extra 15 pounds I had put on and Mrs. Clause has started her own online business, Country Mouse Creation. It’s been good therapy for her and she plans to do this as long as Santa allows her to. Headed for the Deer Woods

Well one more day and we will be headed out to the deer woods! I cant wait, this will be Tyler's first hunting trip.He us ten and his mom is very nervous and I can understand. Tyler is responsible but not all adult hunters out there are always  as responsible. We are looking forward to time in the quiet,everyone gets to camp. Then later on in the week we will have Thanksgiving in the woods. I have been loading the camper up for days now I don't think we will go hungry even if we don't see any deer. I have my new Nikon camera Ron bought me and I cant wait to try it out.
God has given us beautiful weather here hope it remains so nice.
I thank him everyday for the beauty around me.

Why We Dont Have Dinner Tonight Or Why We Should go out to Eat

It started out this morning I was going to take something out for dinner! You know try to be prepared for the evening so I could relax after Ron came home. So I get up with a million things to do and my first is to take out something for a nice home cooked meal I am thinking steaks, twice baked potatoes and corn casserole. You know comfort food. So on my way to the freezer that is in our garage I notice I haven't made the bed so I start to make the bed pulling up the sheets .......... I realize well I might as well wash them and so I strip the bed. Headed for the utility room arms full of sheets I pass the dishwasher, dawng I forgot to empty that last night so I throw the sheets on the floor start emptying the dishwasher as I am doing that I notice I ha vent made tea, so I take the picture out and go to pantry to get tea bags.
What a mess the can goods are everywhere the cokes on the floor all all spread out, the bags of noodles are in disarray so I start organizing the pantry three hours later the pantry is done. What did I come in here for cant remember so leave the pantry, going through the utility room again notice sheets I have dropped on the floor pick them up to throw into washer ..........yep you guessed it cloths in washer so go to put in dryer ......clothes in dryer take them out fold them notice a few items to be ironed in pile and some in ironing basket might as well get those done while I am here. Plug in iron needs, need water for the steam so go back in kitchen to get water notice I haven't finished dishwasher unloading do that get cup for water head back to utility room remember why I came through here in the first place get tea bags put tea on to boil back to utility to iron. One hour later ironing done another load of laundry finished fold it and start those sheets I forgot to start earlier. Got to go take that meat out......... Head for garage again and remember I need to get sheets for the bed so go to linen closet get fresh sheets head back to bedroom and notice leafs on the carpet in the hall pick up the leaves the dog drug in. Drop in the waste basket in the hall bathroom ...... notice the mirror is streaked so get the Windex out from under the sink and clean mirrors and notice shower door needs cleaning too. Well might as well go a head and clean the shower while I am in here. Start to clean shower try to use the new noses that has the removable handle for easy cleaning cant reach the top of the nozzle to push the button in so the water will come out so go to closet to get the stool push the button turn on the water ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh soaked not pushed in far enough water is coming out from regular shower head..........Now that I am soaked from head to toe with cold water I try again this time success. I am soaking wet hair and all cleaning the shower and the door bell rings! Go to the door dripping water all the way down the hall to the front room, open the door only to see the UPS man driving down the drive............ I wave thanks for the package he looks back shakes his head like I am a nut case and drives off. I guess hes never seen a woman in her 50s in a wet T shirt contest. Head back to shower finish the job go to get fresh towels from linen closet only to have a pile of towels fall on my head. Pull all the towels out refold and replace in cabinet. See some towel fuzz on the floor pick it up, I'll just throw it in the toilet. Toilet has a little trace of my husband, left behind. Do men think these toilet clean themselves. Do mothers of boys not teach them what that little brush beside the toilet is for? Well the little brown ring is a little stubborn so will have to go to get some Clorox. Head back to utility to get the Clorox and pass the guest bedroom , our guest from last weekend were so sweet they stripped the bed when they left and I forgot I need to put sheets back on the bed. But first I need to get out of these wet clothes. So back to get the sheets from the linen closet put on sheets make bed straighten up room ............while I am this close........... I should get the meat out........ head for garage again phone rings where is it go back to living room look around cant find the phone while looking the phone stops ringing.........notice where I moved some books aside I Left a little race track looking design in the dust on the book shelf. Guess I better get that dusted while I am here.............head to kitchen to get furniture polish notice boiling water is now gone on the stove and tea bags are burnt to the pan............Crud.......... yep take the pan throw it in the sink, run water in the pan causing as wonderful steam and smell to rise toward the curtains above the sink..........No I am not pulling them down today and washing them I refuse, I have to get the meat from the freezer for dinner its almost 3:00. Ron will be home on time tonight. So get the Clorox put tea bags in coffee maker I will make tea this way its easier and if I forget again it wont burn the house down. Get Clorox notice clothes are done so switch them over and head back to guest bathroom to finish cleaning toilet. Well while I have the Clorox out Ill do the floors too head for the mop get the mop the head of the mop is dirty so go to get a replacement head in the utility room. Get to utility room notice the dogs bowl is empty so feed the dog .........get his water bowl to fill trip over rug.........spill dogs water so have to mop the utility room floor. Mop the floor now back down the hall to finish mopping bathroom..........well while I have this mop out and wet might as well do the other floor.........go back to our bathroom mop the floor. On the way to return the mop and hopefully to take the meat out of the freezer I realize I didn't finish mopping floors....... notice I forgot to finish, making my bed. Make the bed....... change out of wet clothes, finish floors...... lok in mirror realize I havent combed my hair or put on any make up today. Better put on make up so I don't scare the neighbors. Brush my hair, head back to finish tea....get the mop take it towards the garage to and to get the meat, hear a car in the drive.........Its Ron .......Whats for dinner I am starved..............well...............I....... didn't take the meat out...........what are you getting old do we need to put you in the home because you can't remember the simple things, like taking the meat out for dinner???????? (Well actually it doesn't sound too bad to me at least it would be a vacation!!!! ) Well what did you do all day while I was at work?
Not much!!!How about dinner out tonight?

WEEKEND IN THE WOODS

Well it was a wonderful weekend in the woods. My son Bronson came down and we went out to our land in the Talahina mountains and did some clearing of trees and brush to get ready for a week in the woods during Thanksgiving! I am so looking forward to some time alone with Ron and B.J. and then Bronson and his family later on in the week. There hasn't seemed to be any time for spending time alone since we moved here with working on the house Ron's Job moving all the stuff we have had this year.We met our new neighbor David who has built a beautiful Rock and log cabin looking home on the land next to us. He even came and helped us clear off some of the land. It was fun to meet someone new who was also new to the area.I will try to get pictures next time we go down now that you can see a path through the woods.

Carving Idea's

Hi everyone I am looking for some help on finding new carving idea's for my gourd bowls.
Below you will see some of the bowls I have already carved. I hope to get more detailed, the more I practice.
I am thinking about carving crosses, floral, and maybe some zodiac signs (my niece suggested she would like to see that) I am also considering making some small like hope chest boxes with things carved on the tops. Let me know what you think?
What do you think any ideals are welcome. Please excuse the pictures I am also searching for a new camera but have to sell a few more items before I can afford the one I am looking at. I have an old cannon I love but it is not digital so I need to move up in the world and get one that is. My digital is a small Sony and I have not been as happy with it as my old cannon. Any help there would greatly be appreciated also. Well I have rambled enough about that let me know what you think. I should be able to get some good work done the next few days as Ron will be gone and I wont have to worry about picking up the house and cooking meals.

who is five had escaped the house and she found him in their new backyard in his Transformer under ware
and his tennis shoes running along the inside of the fence ..........arms spread out like a bird in flight.........yelling free free at last.............the dogs had broken the new extra sturdy chain link fence and were running on the outside of the fence barking ............I am sure freeeeeeee freeeeeeeeeee at last!!!!!!!!!!

Frankies On The Road

Well it was a good weekend. I sold my little Frankie Gourd Light and he is now on his was to Califorina. I had become quiet attached to him in the past few weeks and was about to decide I would keep him when he sold! So I am excited. Iwas beginning to feel a little down about my abilities to sell or create something someone else might like. But thanks to Sherri out in Califorina my spirits have been lifted. (And of course many prayers that I might get my bussiness started and sell something I am sure helped also) Thank You God for hearing my prayers.

Well this Sat. Ron and I went to a Halloween Party at his bosses house and had lots of laughs there were some great costumes and lots of fun was had by everyone!They could have charged addmission to this house with all its decorations. It must of taken a month to get everything set up!! Ron cant say a thing about my decorations any more I dont even come close to what was in this house!! I loved it!!! But I am glad I dont have to put all that stuff up and then get ready for Thanksgiving and Christimas!!!

THURSDAY EVENING

WELL HERE IT IS THURSDAY ALREADY JUST CAME IN FROM MOWING THE LAWN.
IT WAS BEAUTIFUL TODAY WITH ALL THE LEAVES STARTING TO TURN COLORS. IT HAS BEEN A YEAR SINCE I MOVED HERE TO THE POTEAU MOUNTAINS FROM THE CITY AND I MUST SAY IT IS QUIET A CHANGE. THIS PAST YEAR HAS HAD ITS CHALLENGES TO SAY THE LEAST MANY OF WHICH WERE DURING THE PROCESS OF BUILDING OUR NEW HOME. BUT MAINLY OF LEAVING MY CHILDREN AND GRAND KIDS . I KNOW I MUST TRUST THE LORD AND BE HAPPY WHERE IS PLACES ME BECAUSE HE HAS A PURPOSE FOR WHAT EVER WE GO THROUGH.
